I’m here to check out the Winter Carnival this weekend! It is the biggest Winter Festival in the world! For three weeks, the city turns into a winter wonderland. Everything is white and beautiful with lots of snow and ice.
There are many fun activities at the Carnival. You can see amazing ice palaces and big snow sculptures. People go sledding and watch canoe races on the ice. Some very brave people even do snow baths! After all the fun, someone might say, “That was a workout!”
When you are at the Carnival, you can get special food and drinks. If you’re starting to feel cold, you can pick up a glass of caribou. It is a punch, but it does the job to make you warm! You can also eat poutine. Poutine is made of French fries, cheese curds, and gravy. It is very delicious Canadian food.
Someone very important you have to meet when you come to Carnival is Bonhomme. He is the official mascot of the Carnival. He is a big, friendly snowman with a red hat. He is the king of the Carnival!
The Winter Carnival in Quebec City is a magical experience for all ages. It is full of joy and winter fun!
