Shrek is an ogre. He is big and green. Fiona is his wife. She is an ogre too! They live in a swamp with their friend, Donkey. They are very happy together.
One day, Fiona’s parents send a letter. They are the King and Queen of Far Far Away. They want Shrek and Fiona to visit them. So, Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey travel to the big city.
The King and Queen are surprised to see Fiona as an ogre. They do not like Shrek. A Fairy Godmother also does not like Shrek. She wants Fiona to marry her son, Prince Charming. The Fairy Godmother is not nice.
Shrek wants Fiona to be happy. He finds a special potion. He drinks it! He becomes a handsome man. Donkey becomes a horse! They also meet a new friend, Puss in Boots. Puss in Boots is a cat who fights with a sword.
Shrek, Donkey, and Puss in Boots work together. They fight the Fairy Godmother. They save Fiona. In the end, Shrek and Fiona are happy again. They know that love is important, no matter what you look like.
