Halloween Fun!

Halloween is a fun holiday! It is on October 31st. In the evening, the air is getting spooky!

American children in elementary schools wear their costumes to school. Typical Halloween costumes are a witch, ghost, skeleton, monster, vampire, or alien. I usually make my costume, but my friend buys it. Children have Halloween parties at school. The schools are decorated with pumpkins, ghosts, witches, and bats.

It is a popular tradition to make jack-o-lanterns from pumpkins. People put them in front of the windows of their houses. There are funny Halloween games, such as bobbing for apples. People usually make a lot of tasty dishes too! Everyone is having a good time!

On Halloween evening, American and British children and teenagers go trick-or-treating. They are wearing their costumes now! They go from house to house and ring doorbells. People usually give them sweets. Sometimes, children play tricks, but usually, they just get candy! Everyone is laughing and having fun.
