weird – Strange or different in a funny way.
Example: That toy makes a weird sound!

creeping me out – Making me feel scared or uncomfortable.
Example: That noise is creeping me out.

judgy – Acting like someone is always saying what’s right or wrong.
Example: Don’t be judgy — it’s okay to be different.

pants – Clothes you wear on your legs.
Example: He wears blue pants today.

alive – Living, not dead.
Example: The bird is hurt, but it’s still alive.

heck – A soft way to say “what?” when surprised or confused.
Example: What the heck is that noise?

things – Objects or stuff.
Example: There are many things in my backpack.

nice – Kind or friendly.
Example: She is a nice girl.

Earth to [someone] – A fun way to ask if someone is paying attention.
Example: Earth to Finn — are you listening?

Finn and the Little People

Finn is a boy. He is an adventurer. He has a magic bag.

Finn opens his bag. Many little people come out! They are very small. These little people are a little weird. But they are alive! They wear tiny pants.

The little people do many things. Some little people are very nice. They play and are happy.

But some little people are not so nice. They are a little judgy. They watch Finn and make him feel strange.

Finn thinks, “What the heck is happening?” He is very surprised.

Sometimes, the little people do strange acts. Finn thinks, “Oh no, this is creeping me out!” He feels a little scared.

Finn thinks about it. “Earth to Finn!” he says to himself. He understands these little people are like his own thoughts and feelings. It is a very strange day for Finn!
